About us
RADA electronics was founded more than 10 years ago by Dalius Ražanas.
The goal of founding the company was launching two product groups – tube based phono preamps and integrated tube amplifiers working in SRPP mode. Both designs were not a copy and made from scratch – that means that all PCB’s circuit design, PCB and point to point soldering, casing design and final assembly was done locally in the small town Ukmergė in Lithuania.
After a while vinyl came back into the market and the rise of analog reproduction at home changed the main scope of production into phono preamps. Valkyrie phono preamp had 14 design changes during circa 10 years and it’s quite an achievement in a small country with 3 million people. Despite the theoretical approach that SRPP type tube amplifiers don’t need big investment into output transformers by design, it was found that this is not true. Also we have tried many output transformers from various manufacturers in Valkyrie phono preamps. Dalius also used old soviet times winding rig for winding his own transformers. But production of own transformers was very limited – some of the first samples of Precious One output transformers were made within 3 weeks as the winding rig was far from perfect. So we have made investment and Rada purchased a professional winding machine for audio transformers winding. Afterwards Precious One and Precious product lines were founded and output of production multiplied. And from that day we also do MC step up, DAC I/V transformers and custom transformers on an order basis.
Till today it’s a small artisanal company which designs and winds various audio transformers, makes phono stages, amplifiers, preamps, DAC I/V transformers and MC step up transformers.
